Mindfully aware of our breath, bodies, minds, and hearts, we can access the space in the eye of the storm.
Mindfulness is a way of relating to life. It is paying attention in the present moment with kindness towards oneself and others.
The question is how do we live mindfully amidst our ever growing 'to do' lists? How do we take care of all of our responsibilities and still bear witness to this precious life? How do we live authentic lives that align with our deepest values? We begin with one breath, with one moment of awareness, and continue to practice the art of bringing the attention home.
Mindfulness for Beginners 4 Week Course
This 4-week course is a great introduction to mindfulness for those who want to begin an exploration into mindfulness, but find they are currently unable to commit to the 8-week course. Mindfulness for Beginners will include an introduction to mindfulness as well as an exploration of mindfulness of body, thoughts, emotions, and loving-kindness. Readings and guided meditation recordings will be provided to support your learning. You are asked to engage in a regular meditation practice at home throughout the course in order to experience the benefits of the practice. This Course Includes:
Four weekly two-hour sessions with an experienced mindfulness educator and practitioner
An exploration of formal and informal mindfulness practices
Readings and practices to accompany each theme
Recorded Guided Meditations provided each week via email
Weekly Emails with instructions and links for the length of the course
An opportunity to meditate, receive mindful support, and foster connection in a mindful community
Support and advice in helping you establish a personal at home mindfulness and meditation practice.
Each week, you will be introduced to mindfulness practices that strengthen your ability to be more present, aware, balanced, and at ease. Week One: An Introduction to Mindfulness & Mindfulness of Body Week Two: Mindfulness of Breath Week Three: Mindfulness of Thoughts Week Four: Mindfulness of Emotions & Loving-Kindness
This course is perfect for those that are interested in beginning an exploration into mindfulness, but cannot currently commit to the Foundational 8 Week Course
